we met robin and his wife gabriele on the gondola on our way up to first. they were kind enough to point us towards favorable skiing for my aunt and then even gave margaret some gentle instruction which was much more encouraging and less antagonistic than my tutelage probably would have been. robin even introduced me to the 'bar-tow lift' at which i knocked us both down to show my appreciation. thankfullly they didn't have to stop the lift and i got better by the second attempt.
