a look back at central and red crater from blue lake.

the dark black rock on the right is a massive lava flow in central crater and you can just make out the summit of red crater, which is the highest point (1886m) in the tongariro crossing if you don't take either of the side trips to the summit of mt ngauruhoe or mt tongariro.
