Formerly these buildings were army barracks for some of the world's finest: Italian Fascists; German Nazis; and Yugoslavian Communists.

Shortly after Slovenia gained independence from Yugoslavia, artists and activists "squatted" in the barracks and have successfully transformed it in to their own space.
