We had hoped for more time to visit Trieste on the way home from Venice but as we are known to do, we maybe overextended ourselves.

By the time we got to Trieste we were starving, so either we had a great meal near Unity of Italy Square or we were so hungry anything would have been amazing.

What is more certain was enjoying gelato while walking along the Adriatic Sea.
